We seek a motivated individual to join our team as a Python Django Engineer. The ideal candidate will possess technical expertise in Python, Django framework and OpenAPI, strong independence, resilience, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. This role offers an opportunity for personal and professional growth, focusing on collaborating closely with our lead developer in this field, Zoran.

Your responsibilities

Develop backend solutions using Python, Django and OpenAPI, with a minimum of 4 years of experience preferred.
Collaborate with the team to integrate with various shop systems (e.g., Shopify, Magento) and social media platforms (e.g., Facebook, Google, Pinterest).
Manage data and databases, with proficiency in PostgreSQL.
Write clean, maintainable code following best practices and industry standards.
Take ownership of architectural decisions and contribute to the development of unit tests and documentation.
Embrace opportunities for learning and growth, whether through self-directed learning and mentorship.
Demonstrated ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines effectively.

Your qualifications

Minimum 3-4 years of experience in a similar role, with a strong willingness to learn and grow.
Proficiency in Python, Django framework and OpenAPI is essential.
Experience with PostgreSQL for data management.
Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment.
Self-motivated with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Experience with Pydantic for data validation is a big plus.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field is preferred.

Initial interview with Belinda (45 min)

Assess fit for company culture and motivation
Evaluate personality, communication skills, and enthusiasm

Interview with Zoran (30 min)

Focus on technical aspects: Python, Django, backend development
Discuss specific projects and assess interest/aptitude

Coding challenge (online 1:1 with Zoran)

Tasks to showcase technical skills and problem-solving abilities
Evaluate coding proficiency

WHO WE ARE

We are a team consisting of about 30 people at the moment. Our engineering teams (Tracking & User Experience and AI & Analytics) consist of about four people each. Currently, we are looking for both teams - Frontend for our Tracking & User Experience team and a Database Expert for our AI & Analytics team.

Also, we are remote first - which means that your location doesn't matter to us at all - we believe that you can work from anywhere! Therefore, our employees are located in Germany, Austria, and also in the Netherlands right now.
